For the past three years I’ve worked at Super Deluxe building the company’s production capabilities from its first ever video to overseeing production on T.V. series, documentaries, short form, music videos, and branded projects. The Los Angeles Times called us the future of television, and Fast Company named Super Deluxe one of the most innovative companies in entertainment for 2018. I only wish we’d had more time to prove them right.

In addition to literally writing the book on how to produce for Super Deluxe, I also write, produce, and direct my own projects when time allows. Being creative is fun, especially when you can find a way to bridge the gap between art and genre. The indie / digital world and the studios can still learn a lot from each other if they keep trying.

Before Super Deluxe, I came up through the production ranks working on indie films and commercials (Wrong Cops, Wrong, Rubber , The Future, Glamour Reel Moments, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Harsh Times, and many others).

When I’m not working, I jog obsessively and hike or ski whenever I can. A former whitewater kayak instructor, I had no choice but to brave the L.A. river when it first opened and still wish there was more whitewater near Los Angeles. I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. (yes, in D.C.) and spent some fantastic years in Colorado, but these days I spend most of my time trying to get around L.A. on my bike and the Metro. Most people who live in L.A. think that’s crazy.
